Let's start with some products to make a freelancer's day much more pleasant.
'Mood-enhancing' Gifts for the Home Office
These can help with motivation and productivity as well as enhance a freelancer's working environment.
Verilux HappyLight VT32 Touch LED Light Therapy Lamp
Working from home in the winter, when the weather isn't great can be slightly depressing.
This Happy Light is an energy-boosting present for anybody that works from home or spends lots of time indoors.
And what I really like about it is that you can adjust the brightness and the colour temperature so you can get it exactly the way you want it.
And you can get a Wake-Up Light like this one to go with it too.
Smart Coffee Warmer, BESTINNKITS Auto On/Off Gravity-induction Mug Warmer for Office Desk Use
You can't imagine how many times I forget I have a coffee and by the time I want to drink it's cold!
Any of these coffee warmers is great.
But my favourite is this Smart Coffee Warmer by Bestinnkits. Cos it's quite compact and I like the look of it.
And it turns on and off when you put your mug on it or lift it! Cool! 😉
A must-buy gift for any freelancer.
Grow Light, Plant Lights for Indoor Plants,
This might sound daft, but having a few plants to cheer up the office really does the trick.
We used to grow tomatoes and peppers in the office because we had some huge windows and it was always hot.
They looked great and we also got to eat them.
But if a big window isn't handy or it's just facing the wrong way, one of these sunlight plant lamps is a great substitute.
But watch out, cos they can get quite hot.
Zeetra Mini Desk Humidifier and Diffuser
Having a nice working environment can help you be more productive.
And one of the things I use to do that is a diffuser.
I use this every day to get me in the mood for work and increase focus or relax when it's time. I have chosen this one because it's a smaller size that will work on a desk, but mine is a bigger one, like these ones.
This is something I use every day.
I use it to set reminders, alarms, timers, add things to my to-do list...
But the best thing for me is to be able to play music to match my mood or what I am doing. I have my own play lists but I can also ask Alexa to play music for work or music for focus. Love Amazon Music, and it's the most convenient way to do it, but you can also your Echo to listen to music for free.
YAMAY Fitness Tracker Smart Watch
Working from home means you might not be doing as much exercise as you should.
Keeping track of how much exercise you do and using one of these Smart Watches can be keep you motivated.
And it has all of its other Smart-Watchy functions as well.
A couple of ergonomic gifts for freelancers
Logitech MX Vertical Wireless Mouse
Cos one can't have an ergonomic keyboard without an ergonomic mouse, obviously.
This is also great for the smaller desk or if the person you're buying this for works on a laptop desk.
Because using this mouse means they don't need to move their hand so much.
Well, OK. There are three but I just love them and they're my top three. If you're interested in more ergonomic gifts, here's an awesome list of 13 ergonomic gift ideas.
Organization Gifts for Freelancers and Home-Workers
Useful for both work and family.
Post-it Note Supplies
Some Great Gifts for Working from Home in Comfort
Shawl or a pashmina
Cos sometimes you have to open the door and greet somebody or go out the house and you don't want to look like a slob or like you just got out of bed.
One of the advantages of working from home is that you can wear your warm and comfy slippers to work ;).
Hope these gift ideas help you find the perfect gift for your freelancer friends.
Can you guess which ones are in my wish list?
